Sorry guys… my Shoulder/arm is stuck again this week so this is as far as I’ve come today. The page will be up tomorrow… and until I get to solve the issue I feel I might take 2 to 3 days to finish a page.
Sorry for the delay.
You know me, never happy with what I do, must experiment all the time. So… should I also do a colored version of this? Having maybe the background in sepia and the characters in color instead? Or the BG in lineart and the characters in 3D? i had fun painting the background, it’s based on a photo I took when I was living in Tuscany…. but should I do another version? (I wanna fix her arm and His face too)
I should definitely find the time to finish this sigh… clean the right side and color it :(
Lio in Spring - work in progress :D
I think I’ve pretty much settled color schemes, style and rendering for The Gem of the Mediterranean Sea.
It’s time to look into the character design again and simplify it a bit.
I don’t know if you guys have experienced similar encounters but it happens to me quite often - I also have some funny variations on the theme I might turn into a comic.
So outdoor sketching is never an activity I can enjoy in peace - and it’s not like I draw in public because I want to show off or draw attention… I kinda hide in a corner all the time.
But maybe I have this happy/intense expression on my face and people want to know why…
At first I did not have an answer to the question. I used to say… I’m addicted to it. Then I started saying that drawing helps me understand and remember what I see better.
Then again… I think sketches are milestones in life and when I try to explain that I like something to stay there and ground that moment so that the past might lead me to the future… I kind of lose the person’s attention already. hahahaha
Sometimes when I create briefings for my students I put animated gifs… but they reflect my mood for having to deal with so much paperwork hahaha so the dedasaur is pretty bummed out!
but hey the upcoming semester is under construction and it will be fun!
